From Seki in Japan traditional swordmaking techniques are used in the creation of Kasumi knives. Kasumi refers to the pattern created in the steel by repeated folding and forging of hard and mild steel (32 layers).

For the technically minded Kasumi uses V-Gold No 10 high carbon stainless and the blades are hardened to Rockwell C59 – 60.

For the user this means the knives retain their cutting edge for longer.

Each knife is fitted with a laminated wood handle secured by 2 rivets.
